Looking after yourself should not wait until something breaks.

The Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, home of Freezlab

Why we exist

Most people only take recovery seriously once something has gone wrong. An injury, a burnout, a year of bad sleep. Then they get serious for six weeks, feel better, and stop.

Freezlab was built on the opposite idea. That recovery works best as maintenance, not repair. That it should be short enough to fit into a Tuesday, close enough to be on the way home, and good enough that you actually want to go.

So we put the therapies people were chasing across four different appointments into one place, on one membership, in a building people are glad to walk into. Three minutes of cold. Ten minutes of light. Twenty minutes with headphones on. Whatever this week needs.

Not a spa, because nothing here takes half a day. Not a gym, because you are not here to work. Something else.

The three words behind everything

Recovery. Longevity. Vitality.

Not three programmes and not three routes through this website. Three reasons people keep coming back, usually all at once.

Recovery

The immediate one. Train hard, work hard, sleep badly, then get some of it back. This is what most people arrive for.

Longevity

The long game. Doing small, unglamorous things consistently for years, because that is what actually compounds.

Vitality

The one people notice first. Walking out sharper than you walked in, and the twenty minutes afterwards that make the rest of the day easier.

Honest about all three

We will tell you what the evidence supports and where it runs out. You will find that written on every therapy page, not buried in a disclaimer.

The building

Inside the Olympic Stadium.

Amsterdam’s 1928 Olympic Stadium, on the south side of the city. You walk past the running track to get to us, which is a good way to start a recovery session.

Inside: the cryo chamber, red light cabins, the Hydroxy lounge, the AirPod, massage chairs, the tanning booth, the Recovery Room, and a lounge people genuinely sit in afterwards.

The team

Someone is always with you.

A Freezlab host walks you in, sets you up and stays at the chamber door. They run your first screening, talk you through what is about to happen, and count you down out loud. Nobody here is left to work out the equipment on their own.

That is deliberate. The therapies are simple. The reason people come back is that the twenty minutes around them feel like somewhere worth being.

Our partner

How do you know it is working?

Most of recovery is a feeling. We wanted a number too. With our partner Charged Health, we offer a scan that reads your stress and recovery balance, body composition and cardiovascular health in a couple of minutes. Book a baseline, come back after a season of sessions, and see what actually moved.
